Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy

These terms govern access to the Al-Ishraaq archive and explain how account, session, usage, and contact information may be handled.

2. Accounts, Access, and Sessions

You must provide accurate login information and keep your ITS ID, password, device, browser, and session private. You are responsible for all activity performed through your access, including activity performed by anyone using your device, credentials, or session.

Do not share credentials, session cookies, account access, private URLs, API responses, downloaded material, or other access paths with any person or system that is not authorized to use Al-Ishraaq.

3. Permitted Use

You may use Al-Ishraaq only for personal, authorized, non-commercial study, reference, and internal community use. This permission is limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and does not give you ownership of any archive content, metadata, design, database, code, compilation, or search index.

Any use must preserve adab, confidentiality, attribution, copyright, and the sanctity of the material. Additional written permission is required before using Al-Ishraaq content outside normal on-site reading and search.

Clear Content Protection Rules

4. No Exfiltration, Scraping, Crawling, or Reproduction

You may not take, extract, copy, preserve, redistribute, transform, or reproduce Al-Ishraaq content, metadata, source records, search results, page output, database responses, images, audio, text, translations, citations, or compilations except as expressly permitted in writing.

You must not, directly or indirectly:

  • exfiltrate, harvest, scrape, crawl, spider, index, mine, mirror, cache, archive, bulk query, bulk download, batch export, or mass collect any content or metadata;
  • use bots, headless browsers, browser automation, scripts, extensions, RPA tools, API clients, data pipelines, crawlers, scrapers, or automated agents to access or collect content;
  • use screenshots, screen recording, screen capture, OCR, copy-paste loops, print-to-PDF, save-page tools, browser caches, devtools, network logs, accessibility trees, clipboard tools, or similar capture methods to reproduce content;
  • reverse engineer, enumerate, probe, fuzz, bypass, or abuse routes, APIs, D1/KV responses, static assets, search endpoints, auth controls, rate limits, robots instructions, or technical protections;
  • share, publish, repost, sell, sublicense, syndicate, lend, leak, upload, embed, frame, make derivative datasets from, or otherwise distribute archive content or access to archive content;
  • build or support a competing archive, substitute search engine, external database, vector index, retrieval system, training corpus, benchmark, model evaluation set, or commercial product using Al-Ishraaq content;
  • use any content for AI training, fine-tuning, model extraction, embeddings, retrieval augmented generation, summaries, generated answers, automated classification, or model evaluation without prior written permission;
  • remove, obscure, alter, or separate source labels, author names, page or number references, provenance, copyright notices, or other rights information;
  • help another person, organization, crawler, model provider, data broker, search engine, repository, or platform do anything prohibited by these terms.

These restrictions apply whether the material is obtained from the website, a rendered page, an API, a static asset, a cache, a search result, an authenticated session, a screenshot, a download, or any other direct or indirect method.

5. Security and Acceptable Use

You may not interfere with Al-Ishraaq, harm other users, overload systems, transmit malware, attempt unauthorized access, test systems without written authorization, impersonate others, misrepresent your authority, or use the service unlawfully.

If you discover a security issue, report it privately and do not access, copy, disclose, or retain data beyond what is strictly needed to describe the issue.

6. Intellectual Property and Feedback

The service, design, compilation, indexes, code, trademarks, archive arrangement, and content are protected by intellectual property, database, contract, and other rights. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

If you submit corrections, feedback, suggestions, translations, notes, or similar material, you grant Al-Ishraaq permission to use, edit, display, store, and incorporate that submission for operating, improving, and preserving the service.

7. Third-Party Services

Al-Ishraaq may use infrastructure, security, analytics, email, domain, browser, and communication providers to operate the service. Those providers may process limited data as needed to provide their services, subject to their own terms and privacy practices.

8. Suspension and Enforcement

Access may be suspended, limited, or terminated if these terms are violated, if misuse is suspected, if access is no longer authorized, or if needed to protect the archive, users, systems, or rights holders. We may also remove or restrict content, rotate sessions, block traffic, preserve evidence, and pursue available remedies.

9. Disclaimers

Al-Ishraaq is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Although care is taken with the archive, we do not promise that the service or content will be complete, current, error-free, uninterrupted, secure, or suitable for every purpose.

Content is provided for authorized study and reference. It is not a substitute for official guidance, legal advice, financial advice, medical advice, or any other professional advice.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Al-Ishraaq and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, exemplary, lost profit, lost data, business interruption, or similar damages arising from access to or use of the service.

11. Indemnity

You are responsible for your use of Al-Ishraaq. You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Al-Ishraaq and its operators from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses arising from your use, your breach of these terms, your content submissions, or your violation of another person's rights.

12. Changes

These terms may be updated from time to time. The effective date will identify the current version. Continued use after an update means you accept the updated terms.

14. How We Use Information

We use information to:

  • authenticate access and maintain persistent sessions;
  • operate, secure, debug, monitor, and improve the service;
  • prevent abuse, scraping, unauthorized access, fraud, and other prohibited activity;
  • understand aggregate usage and improve search, navigation, performance, and archive quality;
  • send requested email updates or respond to feedback and support messages;
  • comply with legal obligations and enforce these terms.

15. Cookies and Analytics

Al-Ishraaq uses cookies and similar storage to keep you signed in, remember analytics opt-out choices, protect the service, and support normal browser functionality. The sign-in session cookie is intended to be persistent so authorized users do not need to sign in on every visit.

Analytics may be used to understand product usage. The current site implementation disables analytics on the login page, honors browser do-not-track and global privacy control signals where detected, and disables session recording in the analytics configuration.

16. Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We may share limited information with service providers that help host, secure, analyze, deliver, debug, or communicate about the service; with administrators who need it to operate Al-Ishraaq; with rights holders or authorities when required or appropriate; and when needed to enforce these terms, prevent harm, respond to legal process, or protect the archive.

17. Retention and Security

We keep information for as long as needed for the purposes described here, including access control, security, audit, legal compliance, and archive operations. Retention periods may vary by data type.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. You must also protect your own credentials, devices, browser, and session.

18. Your Choices

You may choose not to use Al-Ishraaq. You may also request updates, deletion, or access to personal information where required by applicable law and where the request can be verified and fulfilled without compromising security, rights, legal duties, or archive integrity.

You can unsubscribe from optional email updates by contacting us or using any unsubscribe mechanism provided with the message.

19. Children and International Use

Al-Ishraaq is not directed to children under 13. If a parent, guardian, institution, or authorized community administrator permits a minor to use the service, they are responsible for that use.

The service may be operated from, and information may be processed in, the United States or other locations where our service providers operate. By using Al-Ishraaq, you understand that data may be processed outside your location.
